Download
This audio is for the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder effects of all Natural Catastrophes.
Primarily it is for:
- The acute state of shock and grief
- The trauma of losing loved ones, the home, the land, crops and animals, etc
- The nightmares and constant replays/flashbacks of the PTSD event
- The terrible memories, fears and phobias that started then and continue to the present and disturb sleep and daily functioning
- Any physical complaints that are rooted in the traumatic experience
Situations where it will apply: in flash floods, tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions etc.
As witnessing the devastation and horror is also traumatic for relief workers, they are advised to listen as often as needed for the duration of their work or the after effects.

Primarily it is for:
- The acute state of shock and grief
- The trauma of losing loved ones, the home, the land, crops and animals, etc
- The trauma of rape, torture or abuse
- The nightmares and constant replays/flashbacks of traumatic experiences
- The terrible memories, fears and phobias that started then and continue to the present and disturb sleep and daily functioning
- Any physical complaints that are rooted in the traumatic experience
How to listen
- Find a quiet place where you can be alone for a few minutes (or, if this is not possible, use headphones) or listen together with others that have suffered the same trauma.
- Be aware of the intention of releasing your trauma.
- Then, with your volume turned down low initially, play the resonance, tuning into the energy carried in the sound of the sea waves.
- You may find it helpful to move, breathe deeply or sigh as you listen, to help the resonance integrate in your being.
- Be aware of any sensations or emotions that arise and allow them to pass by.
- Pause if it feels intense and then see whether you are drawn to listen to more or if it is enough for now.
How often to listen
- In a first-aid situation where the trauma is acute, the audio can be listened to continuously if necessary, until symptoms begin to ease. Then use every 10 - 15 minutes, reducing the frequency gradually as symptoms improve.
- When the trauma happened longer ago or is chronic, like when a war is still going on, listen to the audio once daily or more often if needed.
